Poarta norilor
Artistul Anish Kapoor, inspirat de mercurul lichid, a creat sculptura publica botezata “Cloud Gate”. Este facuta din otel inoxidabil foarte bine lustruit, iar in finisajul sau gen oglinda se reflecta zgarie-norii orasului, ca intr-o caraghioasa uriasa casa a oglinzilor! Aceasta cunoscuta sculptura este amplasata in mod curent ca piesa centrala in Plaza AT&T din Milennium Park, in Chicago Illinois.
Liquid Mercury as a public sculpture
The artist Anish Kapoor, inspired by the look of liquid mercury, created his public sculpture “Cloud Gate.” The sculpture is made of high polished stainless steel, and it’s mirror finish reflects the city’s skyline like a giant fun house mirror! This popular sculpture sits currently, as the center piece of AT&T Plaza in Milennium Park, in Chicago Illinois. Simply beautiful!

„Stand by me” it’s not just a song, it’s a part of a big project: Playing for Change, which it means connecting the world through music. „Stand by me” is performed by musicians around the world: USA, Netherlands, Mexico, France, Brazil, Russia, Venezuela, Congo, South Africa, Spain, Italy. It is directed by Mark Johnson who is also the producer; Mark is a Grammy Award Winning Producer. This song says no matter who you are, no matter where you go in your life at some point you go need somebody to stand by you.
Jasmine – a great story
In 2003, police in Warwickshire, England, opened a garden shed and found a whimpering, cowering dog. It had been locked in the shed and abandoned. It was dirty and malnourished, and had clearly been abused. In an act of kindness, the police took the dog, which was a Greyhound female, to the nearby Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary (go visit them), run by a man named Geoff Grewcock and known as a willing haven for Animals abandoned, orphaned or otherwise in need.
Plane landing in Hudson river
Here is a re-creation (takeoff to touchdown) of the USAir flight that made the emergency landing in the Hudson river, with ATC radio transmissions. It’s amazing how cool-headed the pilots and FAA people remain during the event. The animation is a bit outdated, but still interesting for those not seen it yet (By Scene Systems Inc.).
Re-crearea aterizarii in raul Hudson
Ati auzit, citit si vazut cu siguranta maiestria pilotului american ce a salvat viata pasagerilor sai reusind o aterizare uluitoare pe raul Hudson. Aici aveti o re-creere (din momentul decolarii si pana a atins apa) a zborului cu pricina si a aterizarii de urgenta in raul Hudson, folosind transmisiunea radio ATC. Este uluitor ce minti limpezi au avut atat pilotul si copilotul dar si supraveghetorii de trafic de la FAA in timpul evenimentului. Animatia poate ca e invechita (s-a asternut uitarea peste eroismul acelui capitan de aeronava, desi nu s-a intamplat decat in urma cu doar 2 luni jumatate), dar cu siguranta este interesanta pentru cei ce n-au vazut-o inca.

Fantana care scrie nu este deloc o metafora. Pur si simplu scrie! Cum o face, nu stiu sa va spun inca. Incerc sa aflu. Unde? Evident ca in Japonia! Cine altcineva putea inventa asa ceva? Se intampla in Canal City – Japonia.

Cel mai norocos pusti din lume!
Norocul. Ce inseamna el pentru voi si viata voastra? Ati castigat vreodata ceva, vreo tombola, o loterie, loz in plic? Pustiul din filmul urmator a folosit norocul unei vieti intregi (sau a mai multor vieti) in doar 30 de minute de joc (cred ca a fost si pe la una din televiziunile noastre si se numeste ceva de genul „Pretul Corect”), dar ce joc! Si ce noroc!
