Un aventurier elvetian, pilot de altfel, a devenit prima persoana ce zboara solitar peste English Channel folosind niste aripi propulsate cu reactie. English Channel este un „brat” al Oceanului Atlantic ce separa Anglia de Nordul Frantei. Latimea sa variaza de la 500 de km pana la 34 km cat este intre Dover si Calais, cele doua puncte intre care a zburat temerarul nostru, 34 de km facuti in doar 10 minute.

A Swiss adventurer has become the first person to fly solo across the English Channel using a single jet-propelled wing. The English Channel is an arm of the Atlantic Ocean that separates England from northern France, and joins the North Sea to the Atlantic. It is about 350 miles long and varies in width from 150 miles at its widest to only 21 miles in the Strait of Dover.
