Se numeste Houston Art Car Parade si este cel mai asteptat eveniment al orasului, considerat a fi cel mai mare de genul sau din lume. Peste 250.000 de spectatori se aduna in Houston, sa vada peste 300 de vehicule ciudate. Parada de anul acesta a avut loc pe 8 Mai. The Houston Art Car Parade aduce impreuna iubitori ai masinilor si artisti deopotriva, ce-si prezinta masinile extrem de modificate, care in ciuda tuturor ornamentelor, inca sunt functionale. Cred ca am vazut cam toate filmele ce folosesc tehnica sandart. Am descoperit insa in urma cu cateva zile vreo cateva noutati: atat filme cat si artisti noi, ce folosesc nisipul ca sa ne transmita povesti. Ucraina are si ea un concurs de cautare de talente si la el a participat si aceasta tanara Kseniya Simonova ce are abilitati extraordinare in a “spune” povesti jucandu-se cu nisipul.

In timp ce publicul din vest s-ar putea sa nu surprinda perfect contextul anului 1945, pe care ea reuseste foarte bine sa-l incapsuleze in aceasta performanta ce efectiv te uimeste, audienta acestui spectacol este fermecata pana la lacrimi (la propriu), iar ovatiile de la final sunt extrem de motivate. Putting on one of the most successful art shows of all-time last year and the highest grossing contemporary living artists of all-time, Damien Hirst has brought forth a certain style to his definition of art. Bold and brash, he teams up with Levi’s on the release of a new denim style. The jeans seen here should be considered much more a re-appropriated piece of art than fashion. A multi-colored splatter pattern covers every square inch of a pair of iconic Levi’s denim. “The Spin Jeans” comprise of only 8 instances worldwide with a suggested retail price of ¥2,625,000 JPY (approximately $27,000).

A quite unusual urban art installation called the “Blue Road” is an example of what mind-blowing urban public art can be. It’s a memorial to nature, but it’s also just plain awe-inspiring. Samsung, the masters of getting free ad space by producing killer videos, came with another master-piece: This one is complete BS, but the finished product made me laugh out loud all by myself! Hills of Wales, LEDs, some sheeps and few dogs and a camera to create a huge amazing LED display.

If you don’t like reading but you have the house full of books, as much as it pains me to see books damaged, I have some suggestions here, and some of them are … pretty cool. There are lots of interesting things artists have done with literature… other than read it, of course.

Am descoperit in arhiva IQads o micuta bijuterie. Spre deosebire de celelalte episoade din seria “sand art”, acesta de astazi este, sa-i zicem tea art … pentru ca in loc de nisip este folosit un ceai (de altfel este in sine un spot pentru aceasta marca de ceai).
