„Ioana are 27 de ani.

“I came across La Blouse Roumaine a couple of years ago and have fell in love with the project and campaign. The posts have not only made me more proud to be part of the Romanian diaspora, but have also opened my eyes to so many unique communities and diverse cultural customs and traditions from my own heritage that I never knew about before. As well as igniting my own passion towards the importance of promoting and preserving Romania’s cultural heritage and creative industries.

I have been travelling back to Romania my whole life to stay connected with family. But more recently, as an adult, I have started to rediscover my own country and heritage through new eyes and new connections here in Romania. As I spend more time becoming reimmersed in Romanian culture and society two things have stood out the most to me, that I hope to both promote and change through Comuna Travel. First, that many young Romanians I meet who have always lived here have a disattisfaction towards their country and the state of affairs. As an outsider, I see the country with different eyes. I see opportunity, eager youth, creative collaboration and an environment where the space to create isn’t yet weighed down by beaurocratic regulation and local laws. I see a young entrepreneurs and creatives who are working hard in collaborative ways to change the face of their country for the better. not only for foreigners experiencing Romania, but also for Romanians themselves to alter their perception of their own country and realize its richness, unique traditional culture worth protecting and enhancing and extreme potential.”
