 Have you ever seen this kind of rainbow? A very rare atmospheric illusion phenomenon, happened in Malaysia in December 2007, called … Sun dog.

A sun dog or sundog (scientific name parhelion, plural parhelia, for “beside the sun”) is a common bright circular spot on a solar halo. It is an atmospheric optical phenomenon primarily associated with the reflection and refraction of sunlight by small ice crystals making up cirrus or cirrostratus clouds. Un foarte rar fenomen cunoscut sub numele de “soarele albastru”. A fost observat din cand in cand prin lume. Cea mai recenta documentare acceptata pentru aparitia soarelui albastru a fost in Septembrie 1950 in Edimburgh, Scotia. A sun …. blue?!

A very rare phenomenon known as a ‘blue sun.’ These have been observed from time to time around the world. The most recent widely accepted documentation of a blue sun occurred in September 1950 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Sea Organ musical instrument

This musical instrument is the first pipe organs that are played by the sea. It is located on the shores of Zadar, Croatia. 35 musically tuned tubes and the movement of the sea are the main players of this incredible thing. The Sea Organ has 70m long with the pipes built under the concrete. The musical pipes are located so that the sea water and wind movements produce musical sounds that are heard by passers by so that it achieves a communication with nature and promotes a unity of architecture and environment. As sea forces and energies are unpredictable in terms of tides and winds, this organ offers never-ending concert of numerous musical variations in which the performer is nature itself. Ron Mueck was born in Melbourne, Australia in 1958, but has lived in London for over 20 years now. He honed his extraordinary skills in making life-like figures during several years in film and television. He worked on the Muppets and was responsible for the special effects in David Bowie’s film Labyrinth. His sculptures, made with latex and silicone, amaze with the realism and their size. The face of Age

This is a project by Mark Story. A great collection of black and white photos of centenarians (people 100 years and older) and supercentenarians (people > 110 years). The idea to photograph people who have lived in three centuries evolved over the course of the project. First, he was simply interested in taking portraits of people who appear worn beyond their years by living extraordinarily hard lives. Those experiences drew him to centenarians, and on to supercentenarians and their stories. Continuare →

Perechea a provocat o multime de surprize – privirile membrilor juriului nu lasa loc nici unui comentariu – si au facut cu adevarat un show. Signature este numele lor, si au in “portofoliu” parodierea unor melodii celebre ale lui Michael Jackson, iar aceasta din concurs este una cu adevarat deosebita. Mirza Suleman ce este un tanar avocat, este bine cunoscut in Marea Britanie ca fiind fan Jackson. Mirza Suleman is a trainee lawyer and well known as a Jackson tribute artist. He, together with Madhu Singh put up a super show for all! Signature is their name, and they performed a funny Michael Jackson impersonation but also a very entertaining performance! The song within the video is called ‘Nachna Onda Ni’ by Tiger style ‘Michael Jackson vs Bhangra’.
